ALCI 2016 Landscape Awards
The 2016 Landscape Awards, recognising the best work by ALCI members from across Ireland, were presented by guest of honour, Norman Fulton, DAERA NI, at Titanic Belfast on 11th November.
Gary Graham, Bloom Manager Bord Bia, one of the judges, commented: "ALCI members are responsible for the construction and care of the finest private and public landscapes around the country. As judges we have the perfect opportunity for visiting these sites where we get to meet with very many satisfied clients and users, beneficiaries who have had their physical and emotional wellbeing elevated by beautiful green spaces. Indeed, sometimes they even get a lift to their economic wellbeing. During our travels, we are constantly reminded of the value of quality landscaping and the impact that it can have on the living environment. We should never underestimate the value of the work undertaken by landscape contractors."
