Private Garden Construction(€50,000 to €100,000)
Project scope: Client requested that an entire revamp of their home be carried out with the following to be considered. Client wanted an area within the garden where the whole family can sit out during the day and evenings and relax and enjoy when the weather allows. The client specifically requested the need for the sound of running water and warm feeling design regarding material being used. A sheltered outdoor area that’s more connected with the garden was also requested.
Redesign of front driveway also part of the scope – from the brief Sublime submitted the following design, to include a putting green area for avid golf player within the house, large boulders, some with water running down for water sound. Sunken fire pit area, construction of outdoor glass room within close proximity of water feature so use of glass room in winter allows user to hear water feature regardless of location within garden.
Continued Sahara paving within glass room to keep flow of paving through out the garden. Use of a very large olive tree to give a more Mediterranean feel to sunken fire pit area, and low maintenance planting to include a variety of bee-friendly and all-year around colours of interest. The front driveway was redesigned and paved with the addition of mature planting and lighting. Northem boundary cladded with dark green vertical timber panels, to give a more depth effect, and add a nice contrast with the colours of plants, same with the existing garage structure.
Elements such as the glass room, the stone planter and pit, boulders and vertical timbers between plants create a mix of modern and rustic vibes, ideal for the type of home and people living within the home. Alternating curved and straight lines make the view of the garden more interesting.
