The Horticulture Forum for Northern Ireland invites you to an Information Evening on the implications of the new Goods Vehicles (Licensing of operators) Regulations 2012 for agricultural and horticultural businesses.
This will be held on:
Monday 11 June 2012
Boyd Hall, Greenmount Campus
at 8:00 pm
Mr Donald Armstrong, Head of the Transport Regulation Unit, DOE, will provide an update on what you need to do to ensure you comply with the new legislation.
Currently carriers of goods for hire or reward must hold operators licences. From 1st July 2012 the scheme will be extended and everyone who uses goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes to carry goods as part of their trade or business will be required to hold a Goods Vehicle Operator’s Licence.
This new legislation will have implications for the vast majority of agricultural and horticultural businesses. The information evening will provide you with an opportunity to find out more about how the Goods Vehicle (Licensing of Operators) Regulations will impact on your business and what you will need to do to make sure you adhere to the legislation.
If you require more information about the information evening please contact our secretary Elaine Chapman on 028 9052 4236 or via e mail at elaine.chapman@dardni.gov.uk.
**ALCI Members Please Note – No Changes from the presentation by Donald Armstrong at our last meeting – invitation open to all relevant sectors so another opportunity for any who missed the last one.
