This ambitious project saw the creation of a modern mixed-use development in the heart of Dublin’s city centre. The development includes office space, retail units, luxury apartments, and a public plaza, which provides a new focal point for the area. The project was led by Hines, designed by Henry J Lyons and Cameo and Partners, and realized by Stewart Construction. Our team delivered all of the exterior hard and soft landscape elements including street furniture, complex paving, steps, rails, planters, soil, planting, and green walls.
Explaining some of the challenging aspects of the landscape build, Derek McDonell, Senior Contracts manager for the project said, “It was a tight site. In every respect. Budgets, timelines, and hard landscape tolerances. It really wasn’t a project for the faint-hearted and we worked under a lot of pressure, with our backs against the hoarding to successfully deliver it. Most visitors to the site will look up to the roof, but to really appreciate the landscaping you’ve got to look downwards to the details, the interfaces, and the junctions. It’s a bit of mastery really”.
