Round Tower Visitor Centre

The concept behind this scheme was to try and create the sense of a monastic garden and to this end plants were carefully selected by the landscape architect.

The soft landscaping included planting of trees, fruit trees, herbaceous plants and bulbs and other soft landscaping materials for the completion of publicly accessible gardens in the grounds of Clondalkin Round Tower, a protected structure.

Areas of wildflower and a small barley ‘field’ were sown together with normal lawn grass.  Due to the success of the project, most of the areas are now being used for yoga and outdoor activities.
