W39 Services restores Georgian Garden at the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland

Merrion Square 18th Century garden restored to original design.

No. 63 Merrion Square has been the headquarters of The Royal Society Antiquaries of Ireland (RSAI) since 1917. Their restored urban Georgian Garden took three years to complete and now reflects the confirmed design represented in the Ordinance Survey maps of the property from the late 1700’s.

The house was built in 1792 and it retains most of its original features with a fully intact rear garden and coach-house.   Together the house, garden and coach-house represent a rare survival of a complete 18th Century Dublin townhouse.

"We selected W39 Services to be responsible for maintaining our historic 18th Century Garden. Their trained horticulturalists will protect and nurture our investment.  We are very happy with the level of service W39 provides and the garden looks splendid."  Brendan Twomey, RSAI
